kishin eggs detail (Kishin Eggs)

Kishin Egg Gameplay

Kishin Eggs are high-risk villain characters. They grow quickly by consuming
NPC human souls, create fear and evidence, and are expected to become hunted.

Guided first hunt:
  New Kishin Eggs who accept the tutorial wake alone in the Kishin Egg Wastes.
  Look note, follow its bootprints south into the Red-Glass Cut, scent souls to
  reveal the private [NPC] stranded traveler, Mara Venn. Talk to her or ask
  about Death City before deciding how your character answers their hunger;
  then attack traveler and eat soul.
  After feeding, north reaches the wastes; west reaches Nevada Desert Wastes;
  north reaches the highway; north again reaches Death City Gate.

Core commands:
  kishin status
  souls
  souls status
    Shows human souls consumed, next growth threshold, stage, heat, and
    ascension eligibility.
  scent souls
    Lists nearby clearly marked NPC prey such as [NPC] Death City Pedestrian.
  eat soul
    Eats a floating soul. Kishin and witch souls count toward weapon/Death
    Scythe progression. Human souls turn the eater into a Kishin Egg or advance
    an existing Kishin Egg.
  kishin ascend
    At 1000 human souls, requests a public ascension crisis for staff review.
    Full Kishin status still requires staff @kishin/approve after a Madness Type
    is chosen. Ascended Kishin no longer farm civilian NPC souls.
  kishin mutation
  kishin mutation list
    Lists numbered mutation choices biased by Madness Type.
  kishin mutation preview 2
  kishin mutation choose 2
    Preview or install a bounded mutation preset. Mechanics come from category
    and stage; prose only describes the look.
  kishin mutation describe
    Guided editor for visible, suppressed, and released wording.
  kishin mutation ocular, dental, body, aura, or feeding
    Legacy category prompts still work.
  kishin conceal / kishin form suppress
  kishin reveal / kishin form release
    Suppress or release visible Kishin tells. Concealment softens presentation
    and weakens some Madness displays, but heavy degradation and Soul Sensory
    still leave traces. Major Madness abilities tear suppression open.

Degradation is not Heat and not Madness pressure. Feeding raises soul count;
visible wrongness is derived; authority suspicion is Kishin Heat from reports
and witnessed crimes, not from simply entering a shop.

NPC souls are the main progression source. Feedable civilians are always marked
with [NPC] and drop an eatable human soul when defeated. Player characters never
receive that marker. Rapid same-day farming raises heat faster; a short cooldown
blocks feed spam.

Consent boundary:
  Kishin Eggs may attack player characters through normal combat rules, but
  consuming a player character soul is a permanent character-ending consequence.
  It requires explicit death consent and the existing staff-auditable soul-loss
  flow.

Consequences:
  Feeding creates heat, evidence, room memory, rumors, district fear, decaying
  room madness pressure, and possible wanted leads. Public or watched rooms are
  more dangerous. Protected, OOC, staff, chargen, and tutorial spaces cannot be
  used for feeding.
  The assigned tutorial soul still counts, but creates none of those public
  consequences and never enters civilian respawn rotation.

Growth stages:
  Hungry, Gnawing, Blooded, Notorious, Aberrant, Calamity Egg, Near-Kishin,
  and Ascension Candidate.

Visible degradation stages:
  Passing, Tainted, Warped, Monstrous, Aberrant, Calamity Egg, Near-Kishin,
  and Ascension Candidate. These are derived from human souls, Heat, feeding
  surge, suppression, and Madness Type pressure. Player prose cannot create or
  erase those visible changes.

For hunters:
  Watch rumors, wanted records, Buzz, room memories, and investigation events.
  The intended loop is IC pursuit, not OOC knowledge.

Staff:
  @kishin/status name
  @kishin/spawnnpc pedestrian
  @kishin/set name souls 100
  @kishin/districts
  @kishin/approve name

Builders:
  build npc reactions name
    Sets how an NPC reacts to visible Kishin degradation.
    Example prompt answer: awareness:3 sensory:1 flee report
