what is serp detail (What Is Serp)

SERPMUSH is a Soul Eater RP MUSH with a long history and a lot of room for

player-driven stories.

What is SERPMUSH?

SERPMUSH began in 2014 as a Soul Eater roleplay community on Minecraft, of

all places. Over time it grew its own setting history, cast, conflicts, and

tone. It has now taken on a more mature form as a MUSH built on Evennia

6.0.0, while keeping the heart of what made it fun in

the first place: expressive characters, wild energy, and a world big enough

to let players leave a mark on it.

Why Soul Eater?

The Soul Eater setting is unusually good for RP. It is broad, stylish, and

flexible. Characters can be dramatic, strange, serious, goofy, elegant,

dangerous, or all of the above. The setting makes room for explosive anime

battles, slice-of-life school scenes, political tension, personal rivalries,

soul partnerships, witchcraft, tragedy, comedy, and weird little everyday

moments. You can aim to become the strongest meister in the city, live a

quieter life while danger grows around you, scheme against enemies, build

friendships, or chase something much stranger.

Where is the story now?

The original SERPMUSH timeline began in 2014, a few years after the events

of the original Soul Eater story. Since then it has grown through multiple

chapters and years of shared continuity. The current timeline year is 2026.

The DWMA is still under Lord Death's rule, now in the form of Death the Kid

after his father's death, but he no longer handles the academy's day-to-day

business personally. A headmaster oversees the school while Lord Death turns

his attention toward larger threats and the matter of recognizing new Death

  Scythes.

Many canon characters are still alive in the wider world, but most are off

dealing with their own lives, duties, and unfinished business. Some of what

they have been doing can be discovered through play and exploration.

What happened with the witches?

In 2014, Queen Maaba was assassinated by a tyrant named Kiren. Kiren seized

the moment to begin the First Witch War against the DWMA and succeeded in

taking the city for a time.

That war ended when Agnis Lovelock, a witch of royal blood and Maaba's

cousin, overthrew Kiren and claimed the throne. During her reign she forged

a fragile truce with the DWMA and promised to pursue a cure, or at least a

remedy, for the infamous pull that drives so many witches toward evil.

In 2018, Agnis vanished for a year. During that absence, Kiren managed to

seize the Witch Kingdom again and ignite the Second Witch War.

Kiren was finally defeated for good by a heroic resonance group: Akihiko

and Heike, Icarus and Shizukana, and Joan and Pilot. Draco, Kiren's son,

helped the group reach Kiren for the final battle. The technique later known

as Group Godslayer obliterated Kiren, and his soul was eaten.

The truce still stands in 2026, but it is not an easy peace. DWMA students

are expected not to attack witches simply for being witches, though the

academy still has full authority to hunt evil witches committing evil acts.

Agnis maintains law and order within the Witch Realm itself.

What does that mean for play?

The world is not at peace so much as balanced on purpose. The DWMA, the

Witch Realm, Death City, and the desert all have room for alliances,

grudges, secrets, missions, and personal stories. You are stepping into an

established setting, but not a closed one. There is still room to become

  important here.
